DVD Case - 300 DPI (4MB)
Method 1
: Using an All-in-One program to copy from DVD.
There are lot's of programs
out there which copy DVDs. There's one we have good experience with and which
offers a 21 day evaluation period. If you have not evaluated a program like
this before there's a very good change you can use this.
Download and install
CloneDVD2
(5.10 MB)
This program can copy a DVD
and partially recompress the DVD if that is necessary to make it suitable for
your DVD burner. You can accomplish a good copy through the following steps:
1. Insert the "September 11th Revisited" DVD into your DVD reader.
2. Cancel any Windows pop-up boxes asking you how to open the DVD and close any
programs which may have started automatically on insertion.
3. Start the CloneDVD program (during the installment an icon was placed on your
desktop, double-click this) .
4. Select "Clone DVD".
5. Select the DVD through the box at the top of the CloneDVD2 application
window.
6. Select the target DVD-format at the bottom-right of the CloneDVD2 application
window. (refer to your DVD-burner manual for this information)
6. Click Next.
7. Click Next again.
8. Make sure your DVD burner is selected as output method and you have enough
space (about 5 GB) free in the folder for temporary files.
9. Click "Go!"
Method 2
: Using 2 separate but freeware programs to copy from DVD.
The above method only works
for 21 evaluation days or if you buy the program. If you want to copy the DVD
using freeware applications you can do as follows:
Download and install
DVDShrink
(1MB)
Download and install
burnatonce (3.8 MB)
1. Insert the "September
11th Revisited" DVD into your DVD reader.
2. Cancel any Windows pop-up boxes asking you how to open the DVD and close any
programs which may have started automatically on insertion.
3. Start the DVD Shrink program.
4. Click "Open Disc" and select the right DVD drive.
5. Make sure the Compression Settings on the right is switched to "Automatic"
6. Click "Backup!"
7. Select "ISO Image File" from the pull down menu. (If you have Nero installed
you can choose to "Burn with Nero")
8. Make sure there's enough disk space for the target image file.
9. Click OK. - Shrink will now recompress the DVD to fit on a standard 4.7 GB
DVD+/-R
10. When Shrink is finished it will display a notification with a link to the
compressed file. Click on this link.
11. Now double-click the .ISO file you just created.
12. Click Write.
I hope these instructions
make copying the DVD easy for you. Please copy the DVD as much as possible to
hand out to others who might be interested.
